SF Giants Card

For my birthday celebration, my family and my best friend's family went to the Giants game! I LOVE going to the ballpark! I have always loved it, but this time was different. We began the day by meeting up with the Anthony's in the parking lot. We had a full spread for our tailgate, it was awesome! As we walked over to AT&T Ballpark, the sun began to shine and life was good. To make the day even better....I caught a ball from Cody Ross! I was so excited! Anyway, I made this cute card to send to the Anthony's as a little thank you for going with us to the game. It was a very memorable birthday!

Thank You Cards

Last Friday, it was my birthday! So, I have been busy making a couple "Thank You" cards to send out! This first card I made, I used the "George and Basic Shapes" Cricut cartridge to cut out the flowers. Then, I just layered them and attached them with brads. I used the "Doodletype" Cricut cartridge to cut out the word "Thanks."

This next card I just kept very simple. First, I glued down the print paper. Then, I chalked the edges of the card with "Olive." I used the "George and Basic Shapes" Cricut cartridge to cut out the word " Thanks." And last but not least, I tied the ribbon around the card.

I LOVE the way this last one turned out! I have the striped paper in the background and layered on top of that is the pink polk-a-dot paper. I used the "Jasmine" Cricut cartridge to cut out the words "Many Thanks." The pink glitter tule is tied in a knot in the top (super cute, but such a glitter mess everywhere afterwards). Finally, the cutest embellishments EVER on the bottom left side. They kind of have a cow/leopard print inside.

Hello ~ Raccoon

First of all, I have to say, my Aunt and Uncle are hilarious. They live, kind of out in the country, and have several wild animals that roam around their house. A while back, my Uncle Steve basically adopted a family of raccoons. They come to the house every night, looking for their "Midnight Snack." My aunt and uncle actually feed them and the raccoons take the food politely out of their hands. Their favorite snacks are of course any kind of junk food and they love "Cheese Balls!"

I made a country music mix for my Aunt Debbie and thought I should send a card with the cd! So, I made this adorable raccoon card, using the "Create A Critter" Cricut cartridge!

Happy Birthday ~ Card Set

My mom and I went to our favorite Scrapbook Store the other day, Paradise Scrapbook Boutique (http://paradisescrapbookboutique.com). They are moving to Chico towards the end of July, so the store was having some sales. I was lured in by the adorable birthday paper and ribbon! While I was there, I also bought a magazine that had some very cool ideas as far as cards go and boxes for them to placed in! Using my Martha Stewart Scoring Board, I was able to make the score marks in the correct places and it was super simple. I am not sure if I am going to give these as a gift, or just keep them myself! :)

Father's Day ~ Card and Gift

For Father's Day this year, I wanted to do something a little different! I just recently bought the Martha Stewart Scoring board and learned how to make rosettes. So, I made a small rosette for the front and monogramed it with a "F" for Father!

Continuing along with the theme of doing something different than I usually do! I decided to decorate the picture frame mat. My family and I went to Shingletown (CA) for Memorial Day weekend and one of the adventures that we went on was a hike to Burney Falls. The waterfall was amazing! My mom had taken a really cute picture of all three kids (my sister, brother, and myself). I decided the picture was so great that would be a perfect Father's Day present (and it wouldn't cost me an arm and a leg)! Using the "Going Places" Cricut cartridge I was able to create the little embellishment (in the lower left corner) that says "Happy Trails." My dad LOVED it!

Bridal Shower Invitation

My best friend Jenna, is getting married on October 1, 2011. As her Maid of Honor, I am in charge of making her invitations for the shower. As I was browsing through some other scrapbook blogs, I saw an idea similar to this one and thought it would be perfect! I used the "Jasmine" Cricut cartridge to cut out the background shapes. I used the "Tie the Knot" Cricut cartridge to make the dress silhouette. Anyway, I am pretty excited about how it turned out! I hope all the guests will enjoy it.

New House ~ Congratulations!

My friend, Amy, and her husband, Jim, just recently bought a new house! Using the "Going Places" Cricut cartridge, I was able to cut a cute key to attach to the top of the page. I don't remember which cartridge I used for the house, I believe it was a Cricut Lite one though! Anyway, I love how this card turned out. I love the colors, and how the key and word pops!

Thank You ~ Apples

This school year, I had two para-educators who came into my classroom to help with writing and language arts. They both did a fantastic job! I wanted to make them very special thank you cards, to show them how much I appreciated everything they did for me and for the students. For these cards, I used the "Preserves" Cricut Cartridge. I was able to cut all the different layers and glue them together. I added the "Thank You" label to each one, just by printing it off on my computer, cutting it down to the size I wanted, and chalking it with "Creamy Brown."
