I came across the idea of bottle cap magnets when I was walking around downtown Chico. As I was looking at them, I thought that it would be a cute idea for the bridal shower favor that I was in charge of. Once I got the magnets done, I knew that I was going to need a cute way to display all of them. As I was looking around on some blogs, I saw the idea of using chalkboard spray paint. I used three cookie sheets (from the Dollar Store) and spray painted them with 2 coats of the black chalkboard paint (from Michaels).
On this first one, I used Modge Podge to attach scrapbook paper to the bottom section of the cookie sheet. Then I attached "eggplant" ribbon. Oh and by the way, you can also get 100 pieces of chalk at the dollar tree. So, this was a super easy and cheap project.
On this second one, I kept it very simple by adding a piece of silver ribbon and then an embellishment from Michaels. On the third one, once again just keeping it simple, attached a ribbon on the left hand side.
Here are the three bottle caps that each guest will receive at the end of the party. I hope they like them :)
How did you put the bottle caps themselves together?
